Hundreds of dollars of children’s clothing and designer shoes were recovered May 4, just minutes after associates at the local outlet mall reported the merchandise stolen.

Sheena L. Flowers, 24, of Stone Mountain and Alice Nicole Shiver, 24, of Atlanta reportedly had several bags of clothing, household items and electronic equipment in their possession when they were stopped in Forsyth County.

Dawson County authorities had issued a lookout warning.

Both women were arrested on shoplifting charges and taken to the Dawson County Law Enforcement Center.

According to jail records, they were each released the next day after posting separate $2,000 bonds.

Dawson County Sheriff’s Capt. Tony Wooten said more than $500 of merchandise was taken from The Children’s Place and Nike outlets during the early afternoon of May 4.

Wooten said the investigation also turned up additional items from TJMaxx Homegoods and Best Buy, neither of which is in Dawson County.

“They said they had receipts for some of the merchandise,” he said. “But if we find a bunch of clothes, we’re going to take everything until we determine exactly what was stolen here.”
