The case against a teenager arrested last month on misdemeanor sex charges has grown.

According to the Dawson County Sheriff's Office, 17-year-old Stephen Bradley Hermann now faces three counts of aggravated sexual battery in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred between April 1 and June 7.

Sheriff's Capt. Tony Wooten said the additional charges stem from a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl.

"Aggravated sexual battery is, by Georgia law, is a felony," he said.

The most recent charges come just weeks after Hermann was arrested for statutory rape and child molestation after admitting to having had a sexual relationship with a different 15-year-old.

While the first relationship appeared to be consensual, according to authorities, the state's age of consent is 16.

The new warrants were issued as a result of the initial investigation, Wooten said.

Hermann, who had been released on bond for the previous charges, posted a second bond in the amount of $35,200 on July 3, according to jail records.
