Manhunt underway for man who ran light in Dawson County
police emergency

A search is underway for a man who is currently wanted for several charges, including fleeing from state troopers after running a red light in Dawson County.

According to Corporal T. S. Sanders of the Georgia State Patrol, 31-year-old Joshua Bush ran a red light in front of a state trooper at the intersection of Hwy. 53 and Lumpkin Campground Road. Bush was also observed to be driving recklessly prior to running the light. Upon being pursued by the troopers, Bush abandoned his vehicle and fled into the woods on Burt Creek Road.

Bush is currently wanted for charges separate from the most recent incident, and additional charges are pending regarding fleeing from the troopers. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, and no third party damage was reported except for a county road sign.
