A Dawsonville man arrested Saturday for driving under the influence of alcohol also faces a charge of impersonating a public officer.

Scott Joel Corn, 36, allegedly told officers he was employed as a firefighter with Dawson County Emergency Services when he was pulled over around 4 p.m. Dec. 13.

Corn worked as a volunteer for three years out of Station 3 on Harmony Church Road, according to Chief Lanier Swafford.

"He hasn't been with us since 2009," he said.

Corn is also charged with failure to maintain lane, driving with an expired license and an open container violation.

He is being held without bond at the Dawson County jail, according to records.
