A Dawsonville woman was among three people arrested in connection with two smash-and-grab burglaries early Thursday in north Forsyth. Authorities say they are wanted for other crimes in metro Atlanta also.

“Property crime investigators have discovered they are suspects in burglaries in DeKalb and Gwinnett counties,” said Forsyth County Sheriff’s Major Dan Jagoe. “We are assisting in their investigation as well.”

Kristina Craig, 30, of Dawsonville, and David Jarvis Robinson, 20, and Abdur Raashiyd York, 23, both of Stone Mountain, are being held on burglary charges at the Forsyth County Detention Center.

Jagoe said sheriff’s investigators who are members of the FBI’s Safe Streets Gang Taskforce are trying to confirm if the suspects have any gang affiliations.

If so, they could face more serious charges.

The three suspects were arrested Thursday morning after a sheriff’s deputy pulled them over on Ga. 400 in south Forsyth.

Jagoe said the two men had been lying down in the vehicle, but sat up when it stopped at Exit 11. Merchandise taken from two local stores was reportedly in plain view inside.

The incident began about 3:17 a.m. Thursday, when deputies were alerted to a theft at the Country Cupboard convenience store on Antioch Road.

There, they discovered someone had smashed the front glass doors and removed small items.

About 15 minutes later, deputies were summoned to Daniel’s Grocery on Pilgrim Mill Road, which had also been forcibly entered.

“As the deputies were responding to that location they passed a gold-colored vehicle on Pilgrim Mill Road going toward Ga. 400,” said Jagoe, noting that a woman was driving it.

Once they arrived at the grocery store, the deputies alerted the sheriff’s south precinct to look for a gold Buick Century.

Jagoe said it appears the suspects spent just about a minute or two in each store, taking cigarettes, lighters and loose change.
