Meth arrests 10-12-20

Lumpkin County authorities say that 10 people, including a 26-year-old Dawson County woman, have been arrested or charged in connection with an alleged drug operation that was reportedly smuggling methamphetamine into the Lumpkin County Detention Center.

In late September, investigators with the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office reportedly learned that methamphetamine had made its way into the Lumpkin County Detention Center, according to a sheriff’s office press release.

Through searches, drug screens and reviews of recorded phone calls, video chats and surveillance footage, investigators determined that Kimberly Biggs, 26, of Dawson County had allegedly dropped off methamphetamine at “various locations so that it could be brought into the Lumpkin County Detention Center by inmates on work detail.”
