A Dawson County man suspected of dealing narcotics from a local Dunkin' Donuts was taken into custody last week after investigators with the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Unit conducted an undercover operation at the doughnut shop, authorities say.
According to a Dawson County Sheriff’s Office press release, Christopher Andrew Dawson, 21, was arrested and charged for allegedly dealing marijuana and the prescription drug Xanax from his home and his place of business, Dunkin' Donuts.
During a search, investigators allegedly recovered approximately 55 Xanax bars, marijuana, digital scales, packaging materials, a pill suspected to be Adderall and $1,869 in cash.
Dawson was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug related objects and use of communication facility in committing or facilitating a felony.
He is being held in custody at the Dawson County Detention Center under a $35,200 bond.
Authorities say that following Dawson’s arrest, information gathered in the undercover operation led them to secure search warrants for an additional Dawson County residence near Thompson Road and Hwy. 53.
During the search on Sunday, Jan. 26, four other suspects were taken into custody and investigators seized approximately four ounces of marijuana and 30 THC vape cartridges.
Those arrested during the search include:
Isabella Faith Colson, 17, has been charged with distribution of a controlled substance, use of a communication facility in committing of facilitating a felony, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and distribution of marijuana.
Natasha Renee Colson, 38, has been charged for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
Sydney Faith Estes, 18, has been charged with two felony counts of being party to a crime.
Ryan Vladimir Kirby, 29, has been charged with a misdemeanor count for possession of marijuana.
Estes and Isabella Colson are being held in custody under no bond. Natasha Colson and Kirby have since been released from custody under a $10,000 bond.
