A convicted child molester who reportedly violated his probation by vacating his home without notifying authorities is back in custody.

Reno Glynn Parks, 49, was arrested in neighboring Hall County on Monday, days after the Dawson County Sheriff's Office posted his mug shot and wanted notice online.

"We received a tip shortly after we posted it to our Facebook page. They saw his mug shot and told us where we might find him," said Sheriff's Capt. Tony Wooten.

According to Wooten, probation officers conducting a routine visit March 1 found the home at the address Parks had listed empty.

"As a condition of his probation, he is required to notify his probation officer before he vacates his residence," Wooten said.

Parks' child molestation case dates back to 2003 in Dawson County. He received a 20-year sentence and was released on parole Dec. 12, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections.

He remains in custody at the Dawson County Law Enforcement Center.
