Authorities have detained four people at a home in downtown Dawsonville after a third party caller reported a possible hostage situation.
Dawson County Sheriff's spokesman Capt. Tony Wooten said investigators are interviewing the two men and two women who were on the scene when they arrived at the Sandberg Way home, in the Stonewall subdivision on Perimeter Road.
"They're still trying to sort out the stories from the individuals who were at the home when the situation was reported," he said.
The local 9-1-1 center received the call just before 5:30 p.m.
According to Wooten, the two men detained were also involved in a previous altercation, in which one shot the other in the face, at the home back in early November.
Authorities charged 40-year-old Adam Reeves with aggravated assault and aggravated battery, both felonies, in connection with the shooting of his roommate.
"Both men were back at the home, and the third party called in to say they believed one of the men was in danger," he said.
Wooten assures neighbors in the subdivision that the area is safe following the situation.
"Everyone that was here has been detained at this time," he said.
