Dawson County authorities arrested three people last week and recovered more than 100 grams of methamphetamine, after a suspected drug deal was allegedly witnessed in Dawsonville near Ga. 400.
According to Dawson County Sheriff Jeff Johnson, on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, officers with the Dawson County Crime Suppression Unit allegedly observed a drug transaction in the parking lot of Big D’s BBQ on Hwy. 53 in Dawsonville.
An investigation by deputies yielded approximately 119 grams of methamphetamine, cash and three arrests, Johnson said.
Shannon Lamar Kendall, 42, of Habersham has been charged for distribution of a controlled substance, trafficking in methamphetamine, and false name and date of birth.
Michael David Eugene Lake, 31, of Winder has been charged for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
Sophie Annick Toscano, 23, of Gainesville has been charged for possession of a controlled substance.
The three suspects were transported from the scene to the Dawson County Detention Center, where they are being held under no bond.
Following the arrests on Wednesday, Johnson said that the Dawson County Crime Suppression Unit conducted an additional drug investigation within the county. During the investigation, a male suspect allegedly agreed to deliver approximately 31 grams of methamphetamine and 1 gram of heroin to undercover investigators.
Andre Lashonne Faulkner, 49, of Stone Mountain was arrested by the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office, charged with criminal attempt to distribute heroin, trafficking in methamphetamine and for a parole violation.
Faulkner is being held in custody under no bond.
