The Dawson County Chamber of Commerce Advocacy Committee will host a city special election candidate forum this month at the Dawson County Performing Arts Center.
On the ballot are Mike Eason, incumbent, James Grogan, former mayor.
The forum will be held beginning at 6 p.m. Feb. 13. Citizens may submit questions for candidates to info@dawson.org.
The special election is to fill the unexpired term of the mayor. The candidate elected will serve until Dec. 31, 2019.

Election Day March 20: Polls are open 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Dawson County Board of Elections Office, located at 96 Academy Ave. in Dawsonville
Deadline to register Feb. 20: Register to vote, change your address, or view a sample ballot at www.mvp.sos.ga.gov
Advance voting begins Feb. 26: Vote at Board of Elections Office, which can be contacted at (706) 3440-3640
Advance voting schedule: 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Feb. 26 through March 16, Monday through Friday only
