Preparing for future growth will be the topic of discussion as Etowah Water and Sewer Authority General Manager Brooke Anderson speaks to the local chamber of commerce tomorrow.
Anderson said he plans to give chamber members an overview of projects the authority recently completed in preparation for projected water and sewer demand in the years to come.
“I’ve prepared a Powerpoint presentation I plan to show that's wrapped around the premise that we are prepared for growth,” he said.
Major projects such as the Russell Creek Reservoir on Etowah River Road, as well as renovations and improvements to existing water and sewer infrastructure are key components as the authority plans for the next wave of businesses moving to the area, he said.
“We’re wrapping up a master plan that would be a roadmap for the authority,” he said. “We aren’t planning for anything other than what the county is planning for — everything is done together.”
The luncheon begins at noon and will be held at the Lakeview Center on Dawson Forest Road.
