Appalachian Community Bank has appointed Teresa B. Boulware as branch manager of its Dawsonville branch.  She is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the branch. Boulware has most recently served as vice-president of retail lending at the bank’s Dahlonega office.  She will continue her role as a lender in Dawsonville.

Boulware is a veteran banker, with more than 25 years of experience.

Previously, she was a branch manager and lender with Mountain State Bank, where she oversaw bank operations and performed a wide range of lending activities, including small business loans, retail loans and real estate loans.

Boulware also worked as a customer service representative and in payroll at Mountain State Bank (formerly known as GB&T, formerly known as Lumpkin County Bank). She began her banking career at Bank of Dahlonega in 1982, where she worked as a secretary, collateral clerk and loan processor.

“Teresa Boulware has a great deal of banking experience and knowledge of the local community,” said Bart Nunley, regional president. “She is a talented, well-respected banker, and her experience will benefit us greatly at our downtown Dawson County location.”

A lifelong resident of Lumpkin County, Boulware works extensively throughout the community.  She currently serves as board member and recording secretary for the United Way of Lumpkin County, chair of the Allocations Committee, member of the Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary Club and graduate of the Leadership Lumpkin County Class of 2008.  She has served as treasurer and secretary for Beta Sigma Phi. Boulware is a graduate of Lumpkin County High School, Lanier Area Technical School and the Georgia Banking School at UGA.

Boulware and her husband David enjoy spending time with their family.  They have a daughter, Abbie, son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Suzanne and grandchildren, Douglas and Lily.

In addition to spending time with family, she enjoys flower gardening, reading and playing with her three dogs.

Teresa invites her family and friends to visit her at Appalachian Community Bank’s Dawsonville branch, located at 28 Main Street, adjacent to the Dawsonville Municipal Complex.
