Two times must be the charm for a local accountant who won the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce cash drawing last week.

For the second time in less than a year, Kathy Fuller’s name has been drawn as the chamber’s cash prize winner at the group’s monthly business after hours event.

Fuller wasn’t present, as required, the first time her name was selected a few months ago, but she was ready to claim the $1,100 last Tuesday when her name was called.

“We have a winner,” said Chamber President Linda Williams as she held up Fuller’s name.

Fuller said she wasn’t sure how she’d spend her winnings.

The chamber’s cash drawing is sponsored by chamber members who contribute monthly to the pot. Chamber members must be present to win the cash prize, if their name is drawn.
