The community is invited to the Dawson County Senior Center on Friday morning for a downhome country breakfast.
Director Margie Weaver said funds from the event will help provide Christmas presents for seniors who utilize the center throughout the year.
"In all the 27 years we've had Christmas [at the center], we've never had a Christmas without gifts," she said. "We also have home delivery meals, [for] people who without the senior center and without home delivery meals, would not have people coming. They have no family, so it's very important to me to do this."
Breakfast of homemade biscuits, gravy, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and a drink will be served from 7 to 8:30 a.m.
"We're hoping we'll get a lot of the employees from the county and other people who are in the county to come by and eat breakfast with us," Weaver said. "We're trying to do something so people can get out and see what we do and help us out."
