It’s that time of year again, when the Dawson County News asks the community to select the best of the best in our annual readers’ choice awards contest.

Nominations for the 2020 Best of Dawson awards open at 12:01 a.m. Dec. 1 and will remain open through Dec. 31.

We want to hear from you: nominate your favorite business, organization, workplace, restaurant or person in each of our over 200 categories, including best school, family restaurant and civic organization.

Readers can nominate a person or business at www.dawsonnews.com/bestof. Nominations are moderated to ensure a business is in the correct category and that it is located in Dawson County. Because of this, nominees will not appear immediately, so please allow up to 24 hours for a nomination to become public. If your favorite business is already listed there is no need to nominate them again, they will be in the contest when voting begins. 

Any businesses not nominated by 11:59 p.m. Dec. 31 will not be eligible for the voting period, which will begin in January.

Winners will be announced in a special publication magazine that will insert into the Dawson County News on March 25.

This year, winners will be invited to the second annual Winners’ Open House in their honor where they will be the first to receive the annual Best of Dawson magazine. Details on the event to come.
