Ali Amanda Mahaffey and Dillon Scott Nelson were united in marriage on Nov. 11, 2012, at Densmore Farm in Cleveland.

The ceremony was performed by Pastor Steve Aylor.

The bride is the daughter of Billy and Dale Mahaffey of Dawsonville. She is the granddaughter of Julia Anderson and J.P. Payne, both of Dawsonville.

The groom is the son of Scott and Janet Nelson of Dawsonville. He is the grandson of Tom and Donna Oliff of Crabapple and Susan Denne and David Stover of Black Mountain, N.C.

The maid of honor was Candice Nelson, sister of the groom.

The best man was Gary Keown.

Bridesmaids were Sally Duggan and Paige Arrington. Flower girls were Savannah Born, cousin of the bride and Devin Tucker, cousin of the groom.

Groomsmen were Blake Turner, Corey Dial and Dawson Nelson, brother of the groom.

The bride and groom are 2010 graduates of Dawson County High School.

The groom was an honor graduate from North Georgia Technical College and received an associate's degree in applied technical management. He also received a diploma in welding and joining technology from Lanier Tech.

He is currently employed by Caterpillar in Athens.

The bride is a student at the University of Georgia, pursuing a bachelor's degree in family and consumer science in the field of dietetics.

The couple is living in Athens.
