The second annual "Lunch at An Artful Table" will be Nov. 1, 2008, at noon at the Bowen Center for the Arts. Fifteen tables will be decorated in fun, colorful, elegant, and over the top place settings. Lunch will be provided by Fireside Café and Perfect Gatherings, and hors d'oeuvres will feature selections from The Blue Bicycle. There will be entertainment, door prizes and opportunities to win delightful gifts. The beautiful quilt donated to the council will go home with the lucky ticket holder. The new Gift Shop will be open for everyone, and guests will be challenged to "name the shop." Once again, the gentlemen of the Arts Council Board will serve guests in elegant style, and Juniorettes LEAD of Dawson County High School will assist. Table sponsors include White Interiors, Fireside Café, Perfect Gatherings, Carla Boutin (State Farm Insurance) and Kathy Fuller, RIC Rack, Gold Creek Ladies, Dawson County Woman's Club and Chocolate Moose. "Lunch at An Artful Table" is sponsored by the Dawson County Arts Council. Over 125 guests attended last year's event, and tickets are limited. All proceeds from the fundraiser benefit Dawson County Arts Council; which presents free visual arts displays at the center, sponsors the Dawson Community Chorale, and plans classes and programs for both children and adults.
