Lodge seeks help to find old pictures

The Etowah Masonic Lodge No. 222 will be celebrating its 150th birthday Oct. 28.

Since the lodges beginning, there have been approximately 85 different members who have been Master of the Lodge.

Unfortunately, the lodge does not have pictures of some of the older Masters.

The lodge is currently looking for help from the public to find pictures of the following people to place in the lodge.

The dates given with their names may help those who knew them. The dates are the year that they served as Master and may help indicated how old they may have been.

The lodge hopes that some descendants will have copies of the pictures. If pictures are found, please contact William Sexton at (706) 216-5438.

The lodge has most of the pictures from 1906 to present with a very few exceptions and these pictures hold a place of honor in the lodge.

The names and years that they served as Master are as follows; 1858 Rev. Samuel C. Johnson, 1862 A. M. Barrett, 1865 Joseph Rhodes, 1967 L. J. Russell, 1868 Rev. James M. Bishop, 1872 Joesphus Rhodes, 1876 John D. Palmour, 1878 Henry C. Johnson,1886 Robert N. McClure, 1899 G. R. Robinson, 1901 W. R. Robinson, 1902 J. O. Bolding, 1903 H. S. Fouts and 1904 John B. Thomas.
