Here’s which Dawson County churches will hold Christmas Eve services this year

With just days until Christmas, local churches are gearing up for their Christmas Eve services. Here are some of the local churches that will host services this holiday. 

Bethel United Methodist Church

Bethel UMC off of Lumpkin Campground Road will host a candlelight Christmas Eve service on Thursday evening. 

When: Thursday, Dec. 24 at 5:00 p.m.

Where: Bethel UMC; 100 Lumpkin Campground Road S.

Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church 

Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church has several options for Christmas Mass services. The church is asking attendees to RSVP online and reserve a spot in the service. 

When: Thursday, Dec. 24 at 9:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m.; Friday, Dec. 25 at 7:30 a.m. or 9:00 a.m.

First Baptist Dawsonville

First Baptist Dawsonville will be holding a “Communion and Candlelight” service the day before Christmas Eve. 

When: Wednesday, Dec. 23 at 6:30 p.m. 

Where: First Baptist Dawsonville; 900 Hwy. 9 N.

Local Church Dawson

Local Church Dawson has several options for Christmas Eve services. Childcare will not be provided, but children are invited to attend the family-friendly service with their parents. Due to COVID-19, there will be limited capacity, so attendees are asked to reserve a seat beforehand. 

When: Thursday, Dec. 24 at 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. 

Where: Local Church Dawson; 31 Successful Way, Dawsonville.
