The Dawsonville Lions Club recently donated $3000 to the Good Shepherd Clinic of Dawson County to help with the clinic’s mission of providing health care to those who have none.

The Good Shepherd Clinic provides several services, including vision and audiology services, to eligible Dawson County residents who have no health insurance or don’t have the financial means to afford healthcare.

One of the many missions of the Lions Club is to help improve the lives of the hearing or visually impaired. To help that mission, the Good Shepherd partners with the Georgia Lions Lighthouse to provide glasses and hearing aids to those who need them at extreme discount pricing.

Dawsonville Lions Club President Margaret Johnson presented the donation to Good Shepherd Clinic Executive Director Kay Parrish on Jan. 19.
