On March 4, the Dawsonville Lions Club donated $2000 to the Good Shepherd Clinic of Dawson County.

In a presentation on March 4, Lions Club Treasurer Martha Holbrook, Secretary Jim Buckley and Lions Tail Twister Richard DeNell gave the donation to Good Shepherd Clinic Executive Director Kay Parrish and Volunteer Coordinator Joe Fortune.

Dawsonville Lions Charities Inc. is a nonprofit organization that supports financial contributions and referrals for those in need to the Georgia Lions Lighthouse for free eye exams, eyeglasses, more serious eye care and free hearing aid help.

The donation to the Good Shepherd Clinic is aimed at helping benefit the vision and hearing services offered by the clinic, according to a press release by the group.
