The Dawsonville Lions Charities recently donated $2000 to the Dawson County Library to help benefit low vision library patrons.

According to information provided by the organization, the donation will go to support the purchase of big print and audio books. This goal of helping to benefit low vision library patrons is part of the Lions Charities’ larger goal of working to improve the lives of the visually impaired.

In addition to large print and audio books, the Dawson County Library boasts a number of other unique services beyond books, including allowing library users to borrow digital books, stream movies, use laptops and check out pickle ball rackets, disc golf discs and bocce balls for use at Main Street Park.
