The City of Dawsonville’s annual Christmas tree lighting event, in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce’s annual Jingle Market and Christmas parade, is set to take place on Saturday, Nov. 19.

The event will feature photos with Santa, food trucks and fun for the whole family.

The Dawson County Chamber of Commerce will kick off its annual Christmas parade at 4pm downtown and feature local businesses, groups and more.

At the city’s farmers market pavilion, there will be “you snap” photos with Santa from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., as well as food trucks with a variety of foods available to purchase from 4:30 to 8 p.m.

The Chamber will hold its annual Jingle Market from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dawsonville City Hall, where local vendors will offer all types of wares for holiday shopping.

The event will culminate with the city’s annual tree lighting ceremony outside of the city hall at 6 p.m.
