This Friday May 5, the City of Dawsonville will officially kick off the 2023 season of Food Truck Fridays with an event offering great food and fun for all ages.

The city holds Food Truck Friday events once a month from May through October, and this Friday's event is scheduled to take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at the city's farmers market pavilion, located at 86 Allen Street.

According to the most recent information provided by the city, the food trucks currently scheduled to appear this Friday's event include The Fresh Truck, Brookton Catfish School, Old Dad's Wings, Juke N Jive Creamery, Sweet Cheeks BBQ and Chuys Tacos.

The event will also feature an inflatable obstacle course and live music by Wilkes & The Coles.

In conjunction with the Food Truck Friday event, the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame will also hold a celebration for the museum's newest addition, Captain Herb Emory's Ford Galaxie. At 6 p.m. on May 5, the police car will make a loop around the downtown square in celebration of local and regional law enforcement before making its way back to the new exhibit at the museum.
