Rebecca and Michael Millwood of Cumming announce the engagement of their daughter, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Millwood, to Nicholas Gary Barr.

He is the son of Kay and Gary Barr of Dawsonville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Marshall and Joyce Millwood of Cumming and June Hulsey and the late Bobby Hulsey of Dawsonville.

Kaitlyn graduated from North Forsyth High School in 2014 and from Lanier Technical College in 2017, with a degree in accounting.

She is currently employed as an office manager with Robbie Henderson Surveying in Cumming.

Nicholas is the grandson of Mitchell and Lynda Rider of Dawsonville and the late Leroy and Hazel Barr.

Nicholas graduated from Dawson Christian Academy in 2012 and Lanier Technical College in 2015 with a degree in heating and air.

He is currently employed as an HVAC technician with Duncan Heating and Air in Dawsonville.

The two plan to wed Oct. 14, 2017 at Millwood Farm in Cumming.
