Wesley and Rosalind Chambers of Dawsonville announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter Jessica Lynn Chambers to James Edward Cook.

  

He is the son of Clyde and Wanda Cook of Cumming.

  

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Curtis and Carolyn Chambers of Dawsonville and the late Hubert and Lillie Aikens.

  

She is a 2007 graduate of Dawson County High School. She is working toward her degree in early childhood education at Lanier Tech in Oakwood.

  

She is currently employed at Dawson Headstart in Dawsonville.

  

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Roy and Martha Westray, Ruth Sutton and David Fordham, all of Cumming, and the late Lewis and Emma Jo Cook.

  

He attended North Forsyth High School and is currently employed at Quik Trip with QTP in Jefferson.

  

Wedding vows will be exchanged during an open church ceremony at 3 p.m. May 9, 2009 at Silver City Baptist Church in Dawsonville.
