Cathy Marie Strong and Richard Kelly Nix would like to announce their recent engagement and upcoming marriage.

The couple is set to wed at 2 p.m. April 18, 2009 in a ceremony at First Baptist Church Dawsonville.

Dr. Jim Gaines, pastor of First Baptist Church Dawsonville will officiate the ceremony.

The ceremony will be held before the Lord, their families, and their extended church family.

The groom-elect is currently employed by Helicopters, Inc. in Chamblee.

The bride-elect is currently employed by the University System of Georgia.

The groom-elect is the son of the late Richard Nix, Sr., and Mrs. Hilda Nix, of Monroe, and will be attended by his son, Tyler Nix, as well as his friends Joe Burns and Neil LaBrecque.

The bride-elect will be given in marriage by G.W. & Beverly Crowe of Dawsonville, and attended by Kitty Jarrard and friends Kathy Thompson and Renee Brooks.

The couple are members of First Baptist Church Dawsonville and will reside temporarily in Forsyth County.
