Mr. and Mrs. Richard T. Mills Jr. of Jasper and Todd Anderson of Flowery Branch announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Amanda Elizabeth Anderson, to Maurice Edwin Martin III. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Edwin Martin Jr. of Dawsonville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Robert G. and the late Elaine H. Webster of Dawsonville, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James W. Anderson Jr.

The prospective groom is the grandson of James and Doris Hamby and Margaret and the late Maurice Edwin Martin Sr., all of Cumming.

A 2009 graduate of Pickens County High School, Amanda is working toward a bachelor's degree in early childhood education at North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega. She is employed by the Children's Place in Dawsonville.

A corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps, Edwin is a 2007 graduate of North Forsyth High School. He is working toward a bachelor's degree in business at North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega and is employed by Outback Steak House in Cumming.

A wedding ceremony is planned for Dec. 10 at Cool Springs Baptist Church in Tate.

After honeymooning on St. John in the Virgin Islands, the couple will make their home in Dawsonville.
