As the sun went down at Uncle Shucks Corn Maze this past weekend and the full moon rose up over the horizon, the far end of the corn field started to fill with noises. Scary music, screams and the sound of chainsaws revving filled the night air.

While this atmosphere may sound like the backdrop for a horror movie, it’s much more than that: the ever-popular haunted corn trail is back for another year at Uncle Shucks Corn Maze. As haunt visitors exited the trail, their relief at making it through and the smiles on their faces spoke for themselves.

The haunted corn trail, named “The Dark Rows”, is at the same location but is completely separate from the regular corn maze. The trail winds through the corn field and includes several spooky scenes of different themes. The talented actors and detailed sets all throughout the trail, illuminated only by the full moon, are guaranteed to give anyone a good scare.

The Dark Rows is open every Friday and Saturday night between now and Oct. 29. Entry to the haunted corn trail begins at dark, and the last ticket to the haunt is sold at 10 p.m. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult, and flashlights are not allowed in the haunted trail during the haunt.

Uncle Shucks Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch is located at 125 Bannister Road in Dawsonville. For more information about the haunted trail, call 770-772-6223 or go to https://uncleshucks.com/haunted-trail/
