‘Eggstraordinary’: Hundreds of Fabergé and carved eggs now on display at Bowen Center

Now through April, the Bowen Center for the Arts in Dawsonville will exhibit a showcase of Fabergé and carved eggs courtesy of the International Egg Art Guild. 

According to a release from the Bowen Center, the exhibit features work from a variety of artists, presenting all types of Fabergé eggs and carved eggs.

“The Bowen Center for the Arts is now displaying an ‘eggstraordinary’ exhibition of over 200 carved, detailed eggs of all sizes and shapes,” the release said. “Members of the International Egg Art Guild have brought us a beautiful display of their incredible skill and talent.”

According to the release, the exhibit will include art by Carol Kjellsen of Georgia, Jennifer Stevens of North Carolina, Debbie Poster of Colorado, Pat Rennick and Debbie Schneider of Washington, Marcia Robbins of Arizona, and Joan Huff. 

The show will also include a live demonstration on several techniques and styles of egg carving and decorating. The demonstrations are scheduled for March 19 and March 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. They will be hosted by members of the International Egg Art Guild. 

There will also be egg ornaments and gifts available for purchase at the exhibit, and the option to place special unique design orders, the release said.
