Next month, the Bowen Center for the Arts in Dawson County will host its newest event, “Brunch and Bouquets”, allowing participants a chance to learn the art of floral arranging from a local interior designer.
According to a press release from The Bowen, the event will be from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. on August 24 and will include a flower arranging demonstration and brunch courtesy of Bowen Center board members, Tracey Smith and Diane Houser.
“Tracey will hold casual and fun discussions of a variety of floral bouquets during brunch followed by a make your very own take-home bouquet,” the release said. “Other features include Tracey’s flower bar which includes a complimentary vase, a pop-up garden and floral boutique.”
Smith, who will host the demonstration, is an interior designer with Rachel Remington Designs in Dahlonega. Desserts will be provided by Smith’s daughter, Rachel Collings of Bake and Supply.
The event costs $30 per participant, and those interested in taking part must sign up by August 19. Reservations can be made online by visiting https://www.bowenarts.org/events/brunch-and-bouquets/ or by sending a check to the Bowen at P.O. Box 849.
