Lady Tigers get physical in rivalry game

In its usual, somewhat hostile fashion, the rivalry with Lumpkin County continued Friday night when the Lady Tigers soccer team traveled to Dahlonega and picked up a road win over the Lady Indians.

"Well, a typical Dawson-Lumpkin game," said Head Coach Jed Lacey about the 2-1 victory. "Physical, a lot at stake, playoff seedings, both teams in the top four, dislike from the fans, players, coaches and a penalty kick given to Lumpkin near the end of the game.
