David P. “Butch” Cane

David P. "Butch" Cane, 57, of Dawsonville, died June 9, 2017.

Born Aug. 29, 1959 in Norwich, N.Y. to the late David E. and Alice Cane, Butch lived in Dawson County for the past three years having moved from Lumpkin County.

He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family.

His daughter, Amy Latty; sister, Nancy Seabolt; and brother, Robert "Bobby" Cane, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Rita Cane of Dawsonville; children, David Schwalls of Dover, Fla., Joseph Ricor, Christine Piling, and Jamie Pilling all of Clarkesville; and 13 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. June 17 at the small pavilion at Lake Winfield Scott.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville is in charge of the arrangements.
