Dawson County is headed to the state soccer playoffs as the No. 3-seed out of Region 8-AA. The Tigers came from behind to defeat East Hall on April 20 in Gainesville by a 2-1 score.

Spring practice begins today

Spring practice for upcoming ninth-graders will start today at Dawson County High School. The current eighth-graders from Riverview and Dawson County middle schools will practice each day this week and Monday through Thursday next week.

Tigers run to finals

The first round of the Region 8-AA boys track meet was held Saturday at Jefferson Memorial Stadium on the Bryan-Keen Track. Finals in all the field events were decided on Saturday. All running finals, with the exception of the 1,600-meter, were held Monday.
