Four days after suffering their first loss in a game which involved 65 combined free throw attempts, the East Hall Lady Vikings fell to Dawson County (6-0, 1-0 Region 7-AAA), 62-55, in a double-overtime thriller Tuesday in Gainesville.

Elliott wins Snowball Derby after leader is disqualified

Dawsonville's Chase Elliott was declared the winner of Sunday's Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola after Christopher Bell, who crossed the line first, was disqualified when a postrace inspection revealed his car was far heavier than the rules allow.
