A Dawsonville man was arrested last week and faces several charges including child molestation and aggravated sodomy, while a Dahlonega woman was arrested a week earlier on sex trafficking charges related to the same incident.

Nearly two years after Nydia Tisdale was arrested at a GOP rally at Burt's Pumpkin Farm in Dawsonville the "citizen journalist" has filed a lawsuit against the farm and its owners, Kathy and Johnny Burt.
A Ranger man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and obstruction of an officer last week following a foot chase with the Dawson County Sheriff's Office, according to Sheriff-Elect Jeff Johnson.
Dawson County Sheriff's officers named in a federal lawsuit by a Roswell citizen journalist have responded, claiming her "alleged injuries and damages were proximately caused by her intentional, criminal actions," according to court documents filed last week.

Counsel for a citizen journalist facing criminal charges over a ruckus at a political rally in 2014 has filed a motion in an attempt to have the local district attorney disqualified from prosecuting the case.
The attorney for a woman accused of robbing Zales Outlet in Dawsonville last summer wants some of the charges against her client dropped, according to a motion filed last week that suggests the crimes in question were not "violent" in nature.
