Eight cities in 12 days

I made my way past Immigration, which always gives one some sense of relief. Getting into a country is one thing. Getting back out is something completely different.

I found my way to the bar to wait.

My greatest fears include dolls, canned biscuits

My sister is fearless.

She will hop on a plane to go anywhere, she drives hours just to take on the scariest haunted houses in the state and her most recent hobby involves guns.

I’m sure there’s an app for that

I am one of those rare people who actually uses their cell phone to talk.

I will text and take photos of Cole to send Mama, but I would say about 90 percent of the time, I just talk.

Mama said there’d be days like this

I've never been a big fan of Valentine's Day.

Landscape work for the month of February

Nobody can do things like Mama

There's some primal instinct that kicks in as soon as mothers hear those words: "Mama, I'm not feeling so good..."

After placing my hand on my child's forehead to see if it's worthy of breaking out the ear thermometer, I always know what to do.

Mama said there’d be days like this

Miss Rose had been older than Moses when I was a little girl and there were times I fully believed she never missed a church service because she was making sure the preacher was getting the story straight - since she had undoubtedly been there when it happened.
