Homer Henson, 85, of Dawsonville, died Feb. 11, 2012.
Born Dec. 18, 1926, in Polk County, Tenn. to the late Carl and Ollie Henson, starting at the age of 16 he worked his way around much of the United States having many adventures until he married his late wife, Geneva on July 11, 1947.
David "Dave" Payne, 76, of Dawsonville, died Feb. 1, 2012.
Mr. Payne was born in South Wales and had lived in Dawson County since 2007 having moved from Alpharetta. In his early years he worked as an automobile electrician, after which he became a professional musician for 35 years. For 16 years prior to his retirement he performed for cruise lines.
Weldon Doyle Causseaux, 81, of Cumming, died Feb. 1, 2012.
Weldon followed his brother into the Navy after high school graduation and served four years during the Korean War. It was during that time, that he decided to go into the ministry and was ordained at the First Baptist Church of San Diego in 1953.
Edith Trammell Blackwell, 90, of Ball Ground, died Jan. 23, 2012.
Survivors include her sons, Ronald Blackwell and Wayne Blackwell, both of Marble Hill; daughters and son-in-law, Deborah and Eddie Jones, Trudy Totherow, all of Marble Hill; 23 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; various other relatives also survive.
