Mary Julia Orr, 74, of Ellijay, died Nov. 13, 2012. Her husband, Edgar Orr; son, William F. Thornton; parents, Julian and Ima Creech; and brother, Billy G. Creech, preceded her in death.
Rev. Glen Phillips, 76, of Cumming, died Nov. 15, 2012. Glen was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
William A. Porter, 89, of Dawsonville, died Nov. 18, 2012. Born Jan. 23, 1923, in Buford to the late Herbert and Lena Porter, he had lived in Dawson County since 1993.
Leonard Dennis Rainey, 62, of Dawsonville, formerly of Atlanta, died Nov. 13, 2012. Leonard was an avid bowler.
Evelyn Thompson Sheffield, 79, of Cumming, died Nov. 12, 2012. Born March 23, 1933, in Cherokee County, to the late Millard and Mattie Thompson, she had lived in Cumming since 1997, having moved from Gainesville.
Lisa Michelle Shirley, 25, of Cumming, died Nov. 17, 2012. She was a beloved, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many.
Frank E. Slaton, 78, of Flowery Branch, died Nov. 14, 2012. Born July 20, 1934, in Dawson County, to the late Thomas and Mertie Slaton, he had lived in Flowery Branch since 1995, having moved from Forsyth County.
Janeen Kay Stanley, 60, of Eufaula, Ala., died Nov. 17, 2012. Born Feb. 12, 1952 in Harriman, Tenn., Mrs. Stanley was the daughter of the late Daniel Raymond and Ina Louise Fritz Pichon Jr.

Incy Elizabeth "Betty" Gibson, 93, of Dawsonville, died Oct. 28, 2012. Born in Newnan, she was the daughter of the late William and Eucie Scogin. A homemaker at her death, she was formerly employed at K-Bar, Sweet-Orr and worked several years as a sitter with the elderly. Beatrice was a member of Goshen Baptist Church.
