Several age groups just completed their respective Dizzy Dean All-Star tournaments over the last few weeks. Teams representing Dawson County play in District 6. Both softball and baseball All-Stars did a great job at their tournaments, according to Dawson County Parks and Recreation. Two teams qualified for the State Dizzy Dean tournament. Both the 7-year old and 8-year old baseball teams will play in the state tournament this month.
The Dawsonville Racers swim team has started a new season with a splash. The Racers boast more than 60 swimmers this season. Once again, Stephanie Morgan is in charge of practices and meets this summer.
