County to hold all-star baseball, softball
The Dawson County Parks and Recreation department will host two all-star tournaments this weekend.
Racers take 26 first place ribbons
The Dawsonville Racers swim team captured 26 first place ribbons in a home meet held June 6 at Veteran's Memorial Park. The team also took second place in over 25 events to cap off a well-run meet by Head Coach Stephanie Morgan.

The Dawsonville Racer swim team held a home tri-meet last Saturday, June 13 at the Veterans Memorial Park swimming pool.
British soccer camp successful
Nearly 25 Dawson County youngsters, ages 4-16, attended the British Soccer Camp at Rock Creek Sports Complex last week. The sessions were held from 9 a.m. until noon, each day on the soccer fields.
NorX Tigers take first runner up
The 8-year-old baseball team, NorX Tigers, based out of Rock Creek Park, took first runner up in The AllState All-American Wood Bat Classic over Memorial Day weekend.

Dawson County Parks and Rec hosts National CYSA Academy
In June of 2008 Rock Creek Park was the host site for the National Alliance of Youth Sports, Academy for Youth Sports Administrators.
Youth fast pitch softball returns
Dawson County Parks and Recreation has announced the return of fast pitch softball for the fall of 2008 for girls ages 7-14.
