Team spirit is high

The Dawson County Tiger football team concluded camp with a scrimmage Aug. 7 at Tiger Stadium. It was the end of a long week of three practices a day conducted by the Tiger coaching staff.

The countdown is on

Just 30 days remain before the opening of the 2010 Dawson County Tiger football season. Head Coach Jeff Lee's team will open the season with a scrimmage game with the Greater Atlanta Christian school at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 19 in Dawsonville.

Team preparing for upcoming football season

Tigers travel to Auburn

Head Coach Thad Burgess and his Dawson County Tiger basketball team traveled to Auburn University last Thursday. The team played summer games against some of the best teams in Alabama and the Southeast during the 3-day camp.

Gilreath named second-team all area

Chase Gilreath has been named second team All-Area by the Gainesville Times. The Tiger senior will continue his baseball career at the collegiate level next year at Columbus State.
