The 26th annual Amicalola Classic wrestling tournament finished this past weekend. The tournament is arguably the best wrestling event in Georgia and last Friday and Saturday justified the reasoning.

Tiger grapplers split Stephens, Banks

The Dawson County High School wrestling team traveled to White County for a match with the Warriors, Stephens County and Banks County Tuesday, Dec. 16. The Tigers defeated Stephens County by a huge margin, 66-18, before dropping a 47-27 decision to the Leopards from Banks County.

Wrestlers win four matches at duals

It was a fantastic week for Dawson County High School wrestling. The Tigers won four of five matches at the Fannin County Duals in Blue Ridge last Saturday, Dec. 20. The lone loss came at the hands of East Jackson, 54-15.

Amicalola Classic begins this weekend

One of the most prestigious wrestling tournaments in Georgia will begin this weekend at the Ford E. Phillips Center. The Amicalola Wrestling Classic will be held for the 26th year at Dawson County High School Friday and Saturday, Jan. 2 and Jan 3.
