It was a long tiring week for the Dawson County Lady Tiger varsity basketball team. The Lady Tigers made two long road trips. The team travelled to Walnut Grove on Tuesday night, a 52-31 defeat, and to East Jackson on Friday night, a 39-38 win.
The Lady Tigers keep finding a way to win. Last week was a perfect example, as Head Coach Steve Sweat and the team won two close games over Banks County 42-39, and Jefferson, 37-35. The team's only hiccup was a 50-42 loss to White County on Saturday.
The No. 10-ranked Dawson County boys basketball team picked up two wins last week against Banks County, 55-53, and non-region foe White County, 54-51. Sandwiched in between, the Tigers lost their first game of the season to an athletic Jefferson team, 65-54.
