The Dawson County Lady Tigers started the new year with a convincing 65-42 win over East Hall on Jan. 3. With the win, Head Coach Steve Sweat's team is currently 12-3 overall and 3-1 in region 7-AAA play.

Still fighting injuries, illness and unforeseen circumstances, the Dawson County High School Tigers basketball team had a tough week with losses to Region 7-AAA foe White County, 59-50, and Lumpkin County, 62-51, before rebounding on Saturday with a 48-45 win over Brookstone.
