Edwin Burt, 74, of Cherokee County, died July 15, 2012.

His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edd Burt; sisters, Maudie Burt and Ethel Odom, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Judy Burt; children, Douglas "Cotton" Burt, Ginger Thomas, Michael Burt, Andrew Burt; eight grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Edna and Herman Hubbard, Betty Stripland, Peggy Mcgehee; brother and sister-in-law, Diane and Billy Burt; very special friend, Bobby Turner of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. July 17 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Revs. Ruel Martin, Harold Bottoms and Keith Martin officiating. Interment followed at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
