Lewis Elmer Payne

Lewis Elmer Payne, 94, of Forsyth County, died May 29, 2012.

He was a member and deacon of Beaver Ruin Baptist Church.

He was an avid outdoorsman, and loved gardening and landscaping.

His wife of 54 years, Bobbie Payne; granddaughter, Vickie Payne; grandson, Jason Bagley; son-in-law, Jimmy Bagley, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children, Sue and Gerald Blackburn, Patsy Bagley, Linda and Danny Faulkner, all of Cumming; Robert and Janice Payne of Forsyth County, Roger and Rita Shadburn of Dahlonega; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. May 31 at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dan Henderson, Michael Millwood and Danny Orr officiating. Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
