Chris Parker, 53, of Gainesville, died May 31, 2012.

Born Nov. 30, 1958, in Decatur, Ill. to the late Lee and Carolyn Parker, he had lived in Gainesville since 2008.

Mr. Parker was employed by Gainesville Printing Post.

His brother, Michael Parker, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Carolanne and Tony Ingram of Dawsonville; sister, Kathy Scroggins of Decatur, Ill.; brothers, David Parker of Tyler, Texas, Danny "Rusty" Parker of Shawnee, Okla.; various other relatives also survive.

The family received friends and family at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. June 2.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
