James Marvin Whitmire

James Marvin Whitmire, 81, of Dawsonville, died May 22, 2012.

His parents, Jim and Minnie Whitmire; and a son, Glenn Clay Whitmire; preceded him in death.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Richard Clyde and Martha Whitmire, Buddy Whitmire, all of Cumming; daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne Whitmire, Deneise and Morris Sweatman, Jeannie Whitmire, Myra and Jeff Stripland, all of Cumming; six grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. May 25 at Ingram Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles "Bo" Thompson officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
